First things first: This will be my last post until Monday, July 7th or Tuesday, July 8th. The Button Factory is being invaded by my children, grandchildren, significant others, and "Sweet Baby Babs", my great-granddaughter, for the 4th of July festivities.

Last Friday, Bruce dropped 'Tracks II: The Lost Albums', as a limited-edition 9LP set, or as a 7CD set (for the sake of convenience the freeload is the 7CDset).
'Tracks II: The Lost Albums' [I'll bet they were under the couch cushions - Ed], spans Bruce's career from 1983 through 2018. It has 83 songs in total, 74 of which had never been heard before.
According to Bruce himself:
“I’ve played this music to myself and often close friends for years now. I’m glad you’ll get a chance to finally hear them. I hope you enjoy them.”

Enjoy!

Thanks Babs! Have great festivities with your fam! Thanks Babs
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks from me also.
ReplyDeleteI was quite miffed to see that even the standard CD edition of this, not some fancy shmancy limited vinyl set was retailing for 260 bucks. Bruuuuuuce, what the hell, man?
"Are they booing me?"
"No Boss, they are yelling Booooo-roooooce".
"Ah, I thought so..."
Have a great time with family members crawling everywhere. And, if the weather is anything like here, keep cool, everybody!
Enjoy the family time, Babs!
ReplyDeleteBig thanks Babs!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the kiddies and stay safe
revel in the fam--we just had the (much smaller) krewe here for a week and it was magical.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the fam, young lady. Hopefully they're a respite from the general fuckery embedded in our country these days/daze.
ReplyDeleteCoincidentally, I just, two nights ago, started downloading bits of this BS overload off YouTube, and was glad with the proportion of keepers to mehs, albeit after downloading about six or so. This offering of your'ns will make it muuuuch easier to assess the collection, so thanky thanky!

Big thanks for this post, and for all the work and thought that goes into your wonderful blog. I hope the gathering is all that you hope for.

It's almost Independence Day and high time I thanked you for the bounteous aural gifts you lay on this bunch regularly. Your blog's obviously a work of love—and it shows. Hope your family get-together is a memorable one.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Babs. And thanks for this set of The Boss. "One soft infested summer" in the mid-70s I was living in a old abandoned beach house getting wasted in the heat...
