Tomorrow the beach house is being invaded by one of my daughters, some grandchildren, their significant others, and Denise "The Grease".
In the meantime, here are some Allman Brothers for your dinning and dancing pleasure.
The Allman Brothers Band – The Capricorn Years 1969-1979
This is a Japanese promotional limited-edition, remastered 9-CD album box set. It sounds sweet.

Thanks Babs. Have a great time with your fam. Please say Hi to Denise "The Grease"! Cavort, relax & frolic, have fun too. As always, thanks for the music.
ReplyDeleteBUT even more than that, thanks for providing a safe haven, allowing good folks to focus on other things that matter & offering a much needed break from reality. Thanks Babs
Disfrutar, amiga!
ReplyDeleteWhat pmac & mumbles said--have too much fun, as they say from where pmac & I hail (who ever heard of too much fun?) and amen to this being about the best place around....and a helluva parting gift! I gotta confess, even as I fell hard for the Ramones and what was to come, I never stopped listening to the Duane era ABB, my guilty pleasure. Still do. Ain't but one way out...
ReplyDeleteAnon RF: Have a great break!! We love ya!!
ReplyDeleteI echo the above comments: have a wonderful break and enjoy your special time together.

ReplyDeleteHave a great vacation and thanks for everything!
ReplyDeleteDear Babs, have a fine time with your familiy and your friends!
ReplyDeleteHappy Labor Day to those that observe. Happy Day to all. Hope everyone is well. Enjoying Allman Brothers, thanks Babs.
ReplyDeleteHere's an oddity for you. This was recorded at The Warehouse in New Orleans when the ABB played a concert there in Sept 1971 (ABB often played there often in the early days and was jokingly referred to as the house band). Sound is simply amazing and the band is on fire. In the early days, sound board ops at the Warehouse often recorded the concerts. This one has been the subject of several remasters, and its damn good. Over 2 hours long:
